Why hire one general contractor instead of separate trades?

Because a renovation is a sequence, not a list. One contractor books the trades in order, carries the liability, answers to the inspector and stands behind the whole job with one warranty.

A typical basement or kitchen touches eight to ten trades: demolition, framing, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, insulation, drywall, tile, flooring and finish carpentry. When you hire them separately, every gap between trades is yours to manage, and an inspection that fails on one item holds up everyone booked after it.

With CarpentryBoys you sign one contract with one scope and one price. one of the two owners is your contact from the site visit to the final walkthrough, and the 2-Year Material and Workmanship Warranty covers the work as a whole rather than trade by trade.
